"Well I just heard Mr Churchill's speech at 3pm and I suppose you were listening to it as well."
I have 100, sent between 1942 and 1945 between my Dad and his parents, ‘Air mail letter card’ or ‘Airgraph’ in my late parents effects. All are logged and in order as he wrote every week, including this one written on VE day to them in Halifax.

V E Day
Dear Mum & Dad,
Well I have just heard Mr Churchill's speech at 3pm and I suppose you were listening to it as well.
We are on holiday today, but I am taking it easy. I will probably go out tonight.
I have now received all your letters including the one written on 3rd May. You are certainly going ahead with your plans, and I was surprised when I got the first two letters and learned that Dad had already gone down to Hastings to his new job. When do you think you will be going? I hope this letter reaches you before you leave Halifax, anyway perhaps it will be sent on to your new address.
I am glad to hear about Ralph. It will be a relief to Miriam & all the [unclear]. Now that the war is over it might make a difference to me coming home, but I doubt it. In any case it won't be long now.
Well there is nother much to say just now, but I will be writing again soon.
Love, Geoff
