This airgraph was from my uncle to his sister. It was discovered after my mother passed.

Dear Dorothy,

Here I am at last writing you a few lines in answer to your Air Mail letter dated the 26th of June which I received quite a time ago and I was very pleased to hear that you and all at home are keeping in the very best of health and spirits as for myself I am as fit as ever and I am looking after myself as much as I possibly can. Well dear sister I sent you a small parcel at the end of last month so I hope you have received it by the time you get this letter, Dos as I don't know when I shall be able to send you another one because everything is so dear now and it costs anything from 8/ to 50/- for a pair of stockings so you can see it is no good buying anything, even if you want to buy a box of face powder it will cost anything between 5/7 and 10/7. Well sister as you say it now looks as though this war will soon be over and you can take it from me that it just can't finish soon enough for me as all I am looking forward to is the day when I shall have my feet under the table at 248 once again. Well Dos I shall have to draw to a close for this time but I will write again soon so for now I will say Good Luck Good Night and God Bless with love from your ever loving brother Harry
