Stored in an album my Dad kept on his voyage in the Royal Navy around the Indian Ocean on HMS Lock Tarbert 1945/1946.

Transcript:

... well darling as you can see this is a Christmas card and what you can see in it is what I did to pass the time away. I know I have sent you one darling, but that was I think because we was going to [unclear - Java?] and was told to get Christmas cards away before we went. Still darling I now you will not mind another one. So here is is. Well honey I will not be able to write to you much for we are going to see to-day and it will be six days before we get into Columbo. So darling if you don't get any letters from me for a time, don't worry, for you are always in my thoughts, I will write as much as I can while I am at sea sweetheart. Just to let you know I was thinking of you, so darling hoping you received the letters I have sent while I have them in here and give my love to all at home. Look after yourself darling and I hope you like my drawings. God Bless you my dear and may he watch over you for me each night, as I love you with all my heart.
