My mom’s father sent my grandmother a Christmas card in 1940, in a cigarette case, written on a WWll ration biscuit.
The front side is his regiment logo (South Africa) the rear is a Christmas message. The tin is filled with a second ration biscuit, with a few ink markings but nothing significant.
