This is a ribbon of the Belgian flag.
My father was in the engineers from 1939 till 1945. He was evacuated from Dunkirk then returned to the Normandy beaches.
I found this ribbon among his things after his death. I presume it was from a Belgian he met after they were liberated. Don’t know anything about the man. My dad never mentioned him. My father was from Edinburgh.
