This photo was discovered with others when my mum passed away last year. The photo is of VE Day 1945 a street party on Ballamore Road, Downham Estate, South East London.
Eileen was Ronald’s penfriend, later to be married. The photo with a letter on the back was sent to Ron who was a stoker in the navy in the far east at the time it was sent.
