My mother, Betty, gave me this letter when my dad died in 1951, I was 7 years old. I have kept it ever since.
He was fighting in Sicily and Italy when the letter was written, he didn’t see me until I was nearly 3 years old.
My Dad was a Driver and the picture shows him with his CO in (I believe) Italy.
